Summer vacation
recreational fun
The dreary, cold, winter days are over. With the first rays of sunshine comes the longing for fresh, warm air and the fragrances of spring. Snowdrops, crocuses, and hyacinths awake from their winter's sleep and poke their heads above ground. Nature welcomes us.
hiking
In the summer months when the white, snow-covered slopes return to lush, green meadows, the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region transforms into a vast hiking paradise. Campingplatz Mayrhofen is an ideal starting point for the most beautiful hikes in the Zillertal Alps.
Ahornbahn & Penkenbahn in Mayrhofen
The summit station of the Penkenbahn is the starting point for numerous mountain tours and hiking tours with a network of over 200 km of marked trails. On well-developed paths, families as well as seniors can enjoy extended hikes.
The Ahorn "Leisure Mountain" offers not only numerous hiking trails but also the Ahornsee lake, which is a paradise for children.

Zillertal Alps nature park
The Zillertal Alps Nature Park is located in the middle of the upper Zillertal, which is an impressive natural and cultivated landscape north of the main ridge of the Alps. The nature park encompasses an area of 379 km² and extends from elevations of ca. 1000 m up to 3510 m. If you would like to hike through the entire area, it will take you 7 days.
From Mayrhofen to the entrance of the nature park, the upper Zillertal is divided into various side valleys that stretch out like fingers on a hand. Since 1991, the high mountain landscape has been under environmental protection. Public roads, helicopter flights, or lifts for tourist purposes are taboo here.
biking
Shady trails through a quiet mountain valley past secluded hill farms and ancient farmhouses. Uphill routes that lead high above the tree line. The biking offer in Mayrhofen fulfills all wishes - from challenging biking adventures to leisurely family cycling. The Zillertal offers a total of 800 km of cycling and mountain bike trails up to elevations of 2000 m.
